How Not to Tell Your Hubby You Are Pregnant.

The fortune cookie reads, "A wonderful addition to your life will appear in 9 months time".

This is how I tried to tell Davey the big news. I went to the grocery store and bought some fortune cookies, heated one up in the microwave until it was soft and pliable, inserted my own message then folded it back up. I got Dave to bring home Chinese food that night and made the ol' switcheroo when it came time to pass out the cookies. When he cracked his open he totally didn't get that I had made this fortune myself and he thought it was real. He said, "Hey, maybe your pregnant. Or, maybe we're going to get a new truck or something".

I tried again later by putting a big bun in our oven and saying, "Hey, honey, what's that?". He looked inside and said, "Why did you put the bread in there?"

sigh.

Then I just told him!

;-)

{okay...not exactly Wordless Wednesday...but sometimes ya' just have to come out and explain things, I guess}.

I told my husband we were unexpectedly expecting our 3rd child by sending him flowers and balloons. They were pink & blue and said It's a boy and It's a girl. He got into an arguement with the flower guy that he had the wrong house! Finally he caught on! :)

Nice try, but you just cannot be subtile with a man! If you'd sat infront of him with a cushion up your top he would have probably thought it was some new fashion trend!
Many congrats anyway!

The fortune cookie idea is priceless. I believe I told my husband about our second child by waving a peed-on pregnancy stick at him.

Oh that's too funny! Poor Dave.

When I thought I was pregnant with Abby I said to Mike one morning, "I think I might be pregnant". He looked at me and said, "How did that happen?"

Probably the usual way honey.

And remember this is after five long years of trying. You would think he was well versed in the "how" it happened.

That is hysterical!!! And very creative. And time consuming. If I had done that, I would have broken 10 cookies or more before it worked!

Both of those are great creative ideas!
